Effective March 31, 2025, CME Chat will be decommissioned. This FAQ addresses common questions regarding this change.
CME Direct Mobile, CME Direct Desktop, CME Liquidity Alerts and the CME Chat web application.
CME Chat is being decommissioned to leverage Symphony's industry-leading software and expertise. This strategic partnership will improve efficiency and allow CME Group to deliver best-in-class chat and collaboration workflows for our users.
CME Chat will be decommissioned effective March 31, however compliance files will continue to be available until August 31. We expect to make the Symphony service available in the second half of 2025.
We are partnering with Symphony to deliver a best-in-class chat solution with enhanced security, scalability and seamless integration with other workflow tools. Further details will be announced soon.
All CME Chat compliance files have been securely archived on our dedicated SFTP server (sftpng.cmegroup.com). Authorized personnel should contact ease@cmegroup.com for access instructions. Clients with questions about compliance data should also contact ease@cmegroup.com.

CME Chat will be inaccessible after March 31. Download any necessary compliance data from our secure SFTP server (sftpng.cmegroup.com) before August 31, after which access will be terminated. Contact ease@cmegroup.com for assistance with SFTP server access or related questions.
