A hedge fund, known for incorporating options into its trading strategies, leveraged CME Direct to trade Weekly options across diverse asset classes. Following engagement with our Global Sales Desk (GSD) team, who highlighted products with similar liquidity and implied volatility profiles, the fund expanded its trading activities to include 10-Year Weeklies. Demonstrating a keen interest in algorithmic trading, the fund has initiated discussions with our Data Sales team regarding access via API/GCP/Co-Lo to facilitate this automation.
Monaco-based commodity trading firm
A commodity firm, seeking to expand into petrochemicals, engaged with GSD to understand the clearing process. GSD facilitated their onboarding onto ClearPort and provided them with demonstrations of both ClearPort and CME Direct to showcase block trade execution. Following successful onboarding and utilization of CME Direct for block trade monitoring, the firm was introduced to CME CORE, an interactive margin calculator. Collaborative training with our Clearing team on CME CORE optimization led to a significant increase in the firm’s trading volume.
UAE-based commodity trading firm
A commodity trading firm, having expressed interest in CME Direct, engaged in discussions with GSD regarding LPG products. GSD identified that the firm’s desired products were primarily block traded on CME ClearPort. Following successful onboarding onto ClearPort, the firm commenced trading activities on the platform.
