On Sunday, June 6, 2010 for trade date Monday, June 7, 2010, the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX or Exchange) will launch a new SO2 Emission 25 Allowance Vintage 2009 Futures (chapter 554, code VAF) for trading on CME Globex and for submission for clearing through CME ClearPort. The Exchange currently offers the SO2 Emission 25 Allowance Non-Vintage and Vintages 2010 through 2014 Futures for trading on CME Globex and for submission for clearing through CME ClearPort.
This Vintage 2009 contract is listed by NYMEX, and is subject to NYMEX and Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. rules and regulations.
Contract Unit
The contract unit shall be twenty-five (25) SO2 emission allowances for delivery made by transfer through Allowance Management System (AMS).
Deliverable Allowances for Specific Vintage Year
SO2 emission allowances acceptable for delivery are allowances with a vintage corresponding to the specific vintage year of the terminating contract month or a vintage of any year prior to the specified vintage year of the terminating contract month.
Termination of Trading
With the exception of February contracts, trading in the current delivery month shall cease on the last business day of the contract month. Trading in the February contracts shall cease on the third to last business day of the expiring contract month.
Listed Months
The contract months listed will be July 2010 contract month through December 2011 contract month, inclusively.
Fee Schedule
The fees for SO2 Emission 25 Allowance Vintage 2009 Futures, which will be waived until August 31, 2010, are as follows:
