Product Highlights
Micro E-mini Futures
Nearly 2.36B Micro E-mini Equity Index futures contracts have traded since launch. Combined ADV in October was 2.8 million (+23% vs. Sep-2023). Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 led the month trading an average 1.4 million contracts per day in October, followed by Micro E-mini S&P 500 futures at 1.2 million contracts per day. Now, you can trade Micro E-mini S&P MidCap 400 and SmallCap 600 futures, launched March 20. Micro E-mini options
CME launched Micro E-mini options on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 indices in 2020. Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 options continue to gain ground against their Micro E-mini S&P 500 option counterpart in terms of volume contribution. Since launch, over 11 million contracts have traded, October ADV was a record 38.7K up +8% vs. the prior Sep-2023 record.
Enjoy greater precision and versatility in managing short-term exposure with the introduction of Micro E-mini S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday options launched February 2023. These new contracts complement the existing Friday weekly, end-of-month options, and quarterly options on Micro E-mini S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures.

E-mini S&P 500 options
October was another record month for E-mini Index options trading marking the third month in a row that we have had a monthly record volume number for E-mini S&P 500 options. Over 1.8 million contracts traded per day during October 2023 and traded a record 280K ADV during October non-U.S. hours. S&P 500 options block was a record 123K ADV in October, +19% vs. Sep-23. Nasdaq-100 options ADV is 75K (+4% vs. Sep-23), 18% of options were traded during non-U.S. hours.
Dividend futures
CME Group Dividend futures combined October ADV was 3.5K. S&P 500 Annual Dividend Index futures October ADV was 3K. Nearly 88K contracts have traded since the launch of Annual Dividend Index futures on Nasdaq-100 and Russell 2000 in early 2022.
AIR Total Return futures
Combined CME Group AIR TRF futures open interest surpassed record of 400K, growing +56% YTD, thanks to +49% growth in ADV to 4.2K. Adjusted Interest Rate (AIR) Total Return futures on U.S. indices are designed to give you total return exposure with an overnight floating rate built in. The enhanced contract design provides similar economics to an equity index total return swap with the margin efficiency of listed futures. AIR Total Return futures are available on Nasdaq-100, Russell 1000, Russell 2000, and Dow Jones Industrial Average indices.
Topix futures
Launched November 2022, USD-denominated TOPIX index futures provide market participants a new way to capture benchmark Japanese equity exposure while minimizing FX risk. This is the first USD-denominated TOPIX futures contract, which complements the existing yen-denominated TOPIX contract and provides trading opportunities in different currencies
Achieve capital-efficient exposure by saving on potential margin offsets against other Equity Index futures at CME Group. Traders can utilize the dynamic quanto spreading opportunities between the yen- and USD-denominated TOPIX contracts created by the JPY/USD exchange rate. Access trading through outrights electronically on Globex, capture the certainty of the close using Basis Trade at Index Close (BTIC), or bilaterally negotiate EFP transactions.
