CME Globex Clearing and Executing Firms have the ability to provide their employees access to various CME Group applications as well as permissions to complete CME Group-defined actions. Below you will find information pertaining to all roles, the associated permissions for all CME Globex applications, and the onboarding process for each role.
The Clearing Firm Administrator is authorized for the following:
Onboarding: A Clearing Firm Administrator must complete Schedule 3 and Schedule 3 Exhibit A and return to Global Account Management.
This Clearing Firm employee has sign-off authority from the Clearing Firm for CME Globex-related paperwork. The Authorized list is not maintained or verified by CME Group.
Applications: Exchange Fee System, Enterprise Reporting Portal, Broker Payment System, Give up Payment System, Positions, Settlements, Banking and Assets, Firm Administrator Dashboard back-office section
This Clearing Firm employee can submit requests to onboard users for various CME Clearing-related applications.
Onboarding: Contact Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE).
Application: None
This Clearing Firm employee is authorized to receive emailed Messaging Efficiency Program surcharge notifications for all Executing Firms who are cleared by the respective Clearing Firm.
Onboarding: Clearing Firm Primary/Secondary Administrators log in to the Firm Administrator Dashboard (FADB), and navigate to MEP Contact Management > Assign Clearing MEP Contact.
Application: None
Clearing or Executing Firm employee is authorized to receive emailed Messaging Efficiency surcharge notifications for an Executing firm(s).
Onboarding: Clearing Firm Primary/Secondary Administrators log in to the Firm Administrator Dashboard (FADB), and navigate to MEP Contact Management > Assign Executing MEP Contact.

Onboarding: Registered Entity Admin Managers and FADB Application Admins manage user entitlements via the User Administration functionality.

Clearing Firm employee responsible for adding and modifying permissions for FirmSoft users.
Onboarding: Complete and return Schedule 9 to Global Account Management.

This is a market participant who has access to FirmSoft, which allows users to view and/or cancel orders for iLink and CME Direct.
FirmSoft users are also permissioned as GCC Inbound Contacts and have the right to contact the GCC to status and/or cancel orders based on their CME Group Login permissions enabled in FirmSoft.
Onboarding: A Clearing firm FirmSoft Administrator must access the FirmSoft tool and navigate to Add/Edit User > Firm Permissions to add another user.
Application: Risk Management Interface API
This Clearing Firm, or a third-party designated by Clearing Firm, has authorized access to the Risk Management Interface API.
Onboarding: A Clearing Firm Administrator must complete Schedule 6, Exhibit D and return to Global Account Management.
Application: CME Account Manager
This Clearing Firm employee has the authority to establish risk settings in CME Account Manager.
Onboarding: The Clearing Firm CME Account Manager Verification Officer must contact Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE) for the CME Account Manager Registration form. The Verification Officer must sign and return the form to EASE.
Application: CME Account Manager
Clearing Firm employee with the authority to approve new CME Account Manager users or disable existing users.
Onboarding: The Clearing Firm Operations Manager must contact Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE) for the CME Account Manager Registration form. The Manager must sign and return the form to EASE.

Clearing or Executing Firm employee authorized by an entity to create and download secure key pairs for iLink session IDs.
Onboarding: Clearing Firm Primary/Secondary Administrator submits a request for the Request Center Globex Firm ID Key Management Access Form to the applicable CME Global Account Management region.
Clearing or Executing Firm employee authorized by an entity to create & download secure key pairs for Drop Copy Target sessions.
Onboarding: Clearing Firm Primary/Secondary Administrator submits a request for the Request Center Globex Firm ID Key Management Access Form to the applicable CME Global Account Management region.
Application: Drop Copy
A registered individual permissioned to contact the CME Global Command Center (GCC) to approve Drop Copy port re-openings.
Onboarding: Registered Entity Admin Manager or Clearing Firm Administrator can complete Schedule 12, Section I associated with new Drop Copy Group requests and return to Global Account Management. Or, Registered Entity Admin Manager or Clearing Firm Administrator can email Global Account Management the name of the Drop Copy Group, associated contact and the contacts email address and phone number.

A registered individual permissioned to contact the CME Global Command Center (GCC) for order inquiry and/or cancellation.
Onboarding: Clearing Firm FirmSoft Administrator enables CME Group Login permissions in FirmSoft.

Application: CME ClearPort
CME ClearPort offers a dynamic data model that allows participants several different ways to enter executed OTC deals for our clearing services. The exchange is responsible for setting up firms and permissioning firm and user agent roles. Clearing Members (CM) create accounts and assign Broker and Asset Manager relationships.
ClearPort Firm Type/Roles are available in the CME ClearPort WebHelp.
Application: CME Direct
CME Direct is a CME Group-provided front end which provides registered users access to CME Group futures and OTC markets.
Onboarding: Complete the CME Direct registration process. To complete the process, CME Direct users must also reach out to their Clearing Firm Risk Administrator(s) to establish risk settings in CME Account Manager.
CME Direct users are also responsible for completing the CME Group Information License Agreement (ILA) through DocuSign. Market participants who are unsure if they need to complete an ILA or have questions should contact marketdata@cmegroup.com or reference the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for additional information.

Application: CME Direct Clearing Member View
The CME Direct Clearing Member View application allows an authorized clearing firm employee who has access to CME Account Manager to manage users for the accounts the firm clears, while providing clearing member firms real-time monitoring capabilities of order flow in CME Direct. Using CME Direct Clearing Member View, an authorized clearing firm employee can add or remove account mappings for individual users and view the orders placed against those accounts.
Onboarding: Clearing Firm Primary/Secondary Administrators are required to submit access/removal requests via email to Enterprise Application & System Entitlements (EASE).

The Executing trader/broker firm employee manages CME Direct products and account access, as well as user-level clip sizes within the respective Executing Firm.
