Arthur Yu is the Manager of Data Science in the Economics Department of CME Group. He leads global economics research using Data Science and Statistical methods, with a special focus on quantitative analysis, scenario simulation, and forecasts making on macroeconomics and financial derivatives market. He also serves at the board of CME Connecting Asia Network (CAN), where he promotes business, cultural exchanges, and Economics reviews in the APAC region.
At CME Group, Mr. Yu is also responsible for academic collaborations in scientific research and education. He maintains in-depth relationships with global universities including the University of Chicago, Nanyang Technological University, University of Illinois, Pepperdine University, Nankai University, and more. He has published many papers and articles in academic journals and financial magazines and was invited to conferences in the U.S. and China as a keynote speaker and featured speaker. In 2019, he established the Nankai Alumni Association of Finance in the U.S. and was elected as the president.
Arthur Yu holds a master’s degree in Analytics from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in financial management and business Administration from Nankai University. He is also enrolling at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing another master’s degree in computer science and information Technology. Prior to joining CME Group, he has worked as consultants in the legal, insurance, and social science industries.
In 2018, he stood out among 48 contestants in China's most famous trivia show "Who’s Still Standing" and won the annual championship on behalf of the University of Chicago.
