Three Key Use Cases for European HRC Steel on CME Group

Since launching in March 2020, The European HRC futures contract, available on CME Group’s COMEX exchange, has quickly established itself in the marketplace. The contract is financially settled based on an Argus price assessment. Trading so far has been highly encouraging, with many participants active both on screen and via OTC brokers. We look at three uses cases why the product can make valuable contributions to the European steel industry.
