Sample Career Pathway

Software Engineer 1

As a Software Engineer in the Technology Rotational Program, participants will rotate on average across three different teams and projects. This allows those individuals to gain new skills in a shorter amount of time, while learning new areas of the business. Participants have a common manager throughout all three rotations.

Software Engineer 2

After successful completion of the Technology Rotational Program, participants are eligible for promotion to a Software Engineer 2 (SE2) role. During the last rotation of the program, participants will have discussed their goals and aspirations for the future with their manager to co-determine the functional business area of their SE2 role.

Testimonials

“Throughout the rotational program so far, I’ve been focusing on different things that I’m passionate about that I may not have had exposure to prior to joining CME Group. I’m currently working on different projects including microservice and regulatory systems, and that exposure is providing me a lot of insight into how I want to build my career.”
