• Changes to Listing Cycles for S&P GSCI and Dow Jones-UBS CI Swap Contracts

    • Pending all relevant CFTC regulatory review periods, the listing cycle for CME S&P GSCI and CBOT DJ-UBS CI cleared swap contracts will be changed effective for the trade date beginning Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
      The current listing cycle for the S&P GSCI and DJ-UBSCI cleared swaps contracts calls for the listing of 5 contract months in the March quarterly cycle plus the 2 nearest calendar months not in the quarterly cycle, a total of 7 contract months. Changes in the cycles will be made so that only the nearest 4 calendar months will be listed as contract months for all S&P GSCI and DJ-UBSCI cleared swaps. This includes S&P GSCI-ER, S&P GSCI-ER Two Month Forward, S&P GSCI Three Month Forward, S&P GSCI Enhanced ER, S&P GSCI-ER Gold, S&P GSCI-ER Crude Oil, DJ-UBSCI, DJ-UBSCI Two Month Forward and DJ-UBSCI Three Month Forward cleared swaps.
       
      The listing of the December14 contract month, normally scheduled for October 1, 2013 will not be made until the appropriate time in the new cycle. The January14 contract month will be listed for the trade date of October 1, 2013. No rule amendments are needed for S&P GSCI swaps. Rule amendments for the DJ-UBSCI swaps are attached.
